Itinerary

DAY BEFORE - Departure at airport

Assemble at KLIA, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 10.30 p.m. for check in to Dubai and Cairo with Emirates Airlines.

DAY 1 - KUALA LUMPUR > DUBAI > CAIRO (Breakfast on board / L / D)

Board Emirates flight EK 343 for Dubai. Arrive in Dubai, transit for about 3 hours. Board flight EK 927 at 0810 am for Cairo. Arrive into Cairo at 1025 am, clear immigration and customs. After lunch, drive to the hotel to check in and freshen up. Continue to Old Cairo to visit the St Sergius and St Bacchus and the Hanging Church. After dinner at a nearby restaurant, return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 - CAIRO > ASWAN (B / L / D)

Breakfast and check out of hotel. Take the early morning flight to Aswan. Land in Aswan and visit the High Dam. Continue to visit the unfinished obelisk - the largest known ancient obelisk. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely ride on the Nile in a Felluca. Visit a Nubian Village and see how the locals live. Dinner and check in to hotel.

DAY 3 - OPTIONAL TOUR – ABU SIMBEL > NILE CRUISE > KOM OMBO (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. There is an optional tour to visit Abu Simbel. The twin temples of Abu Simbel were originally carved out of the mountainside in the 13th century BC, during the 19th dynasty reign of the Pharaoh Ramesses II. They serve as a lasting monument to the king and his queen Nefertari, and commemorate his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. Once the group returns, transfer to cruise for embarkation. Sail and overnight in Kom Ombo.

DAY 4 - KOM OMBO > EDFU (B / L / D)

Breakfast on board the cruise. Visit the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to rival gods Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the cruise and said to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus. Built between 237 and 57 BC, is one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. It is dedicated to the god Horus - one of the most significant ancient Egyptian deities who served many functions, most notably god of kingship and the sky. Return to the cruise and sail towards Luxor. The cruise will be passing through the Esna Lock on the way to Luxor.

DAY 5 - ESNA > LUXOR (B / L / D)

Buffet Breakfast on Board. Visit the temple of Karnak, which was a temple dedicated to Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Proceed to visit the temple of Luxor, which is located on the east bank of the Nile River (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BC. Overnight in Luxor.

DAY 6 - LUXOR > CAIRO (B / L / D)

After breakfast, we disembark and begin out tour at the Valley of the Kings. Visit 3 tombs including the tomb of the “Boy King” Pharaoh Tutankhamun. (For those doing the balloon ride they will leave the cruise around 5 am and have breakfast after the ride). Then transfer to Luxor airport for the flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival have dinner at local restaurant then transfer to hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 7 - ALEXANDRIA (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Alexandria – the second largest city in Egypt. During the Hellenistic period, it was home to the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the famous Library of Alexandria. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the remains of the lighthouse, the Library of Alexandria, Pompey’s pillar and the Catacombs. Return to Cairo for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 - PYRAMIDS OF GIZA > GREAT SPHINX > EGYPTIAN MUSEUM (B / L / D)

After breakfast, begin the tour by visiting the Pyramids of Giza. Start by visiting the biggest pyramid – the Great Pyramid. After that, drive to a viewpoint to take panoramic pictures of all three pyramids. View the Great Sphinx. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Grand Museum, which opens its doors in 2020 and is home to over 120,000 items of ancient Egyptian antiquities. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9 - CAIRO > DUBAI (B / L / D)

Breakfast and late check out of hotel. Proceed to visit the Old Bazaar of Khan El Khalili. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. Then transfer to airport for flight to Dubai on EK 924 @ 1920.

DAY 10 - DUBAI > KUALA LUMPUR (Meals on Board)

Arrive in Dubai at 0050. Depart Dubai on EK 346 at 0330 for Kuala Lumpur. Return home with many memories of your journey to the land of the pharaohs.
