Itinerary

DAY 1 - VENICE (L / D)

Arrive at Venice airport at around 1320pm where we will be met by our English-speaking tour coordinator. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, check in to hotel and free and easy till dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Venice.

DAY 2 - VENICE (B / L / D)

After breakfast, take a boat transfer from Tronchetto to Venice Island. (No possible to reach St Mark from the Grand Canal). Enjoy a 2-hour sightseeing tour of Venice: St. Mark's Square and its most important monuments. Fabulously cared for marble, buildings with delicate stone lacework, a profusion of gold and mosaics, the most beautiful palaces and churches are located in the quarter of St. Mark's. It is a veritable museum of grandeur, nature and glory of the Republic of Venice. Skip the line reservation at St Mark's basilica,
Note: any kind of bag (bum bag, shoulder bag, backpack, handbag etc) will have to be left at the luggage room before entering. Lunch at restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, boat transfer from Venice to Tronchetto. Dinner and overnight in Venice area.

DAY 3 - FLORENCE > MONTECATINI (B / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Florence. Enroute, stop at Barberino Designer Outlet. Free time for lunch. Late afternoon walking tour of Florence. View Seigniory Square, the exquisite Loggia dei Lanzi and its sculptures, the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, where the façade is decorated with marble, the bell tower, the Baptistery, with its famous Paradise gate. This is followed by Ponte Vecchio, the covered bridge, which is renowned for its many jewellery shops. Dinner and overnight in Montecatini.

DAY 4 - PISA > SIENA (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Siena via Pisa. Take the Shuttle service in Pisa from the parking to the city centre. Free time to view the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Square of Miracles which houses the Duomo (Cathedral), and the Baptistery. Lunch at restaurant. Arrival in Siena and do a tour of the city. View the Cathedral (outside), with its splendid façade in multi-coloured marble; Piazza del Campo, heart of the city, with a unique shell-like shape, the Gaia Fountain and the Public Palace (outside), a masterpiece of gothic civil architecture, with the remarkable Mangia Tower. Dinner and overnight in Siena.

DAY 5 - ASSISI > ROME (B / L / D)

After breakfast depart to Assisi. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis, the symbol of Christianity. Recount the life of St. Francis through the frescoes by Cimabue and the celebrated cycle of the life of St. Francis, by Giotto. The Basilica of St. Claire houses the Crucifixion which, according to tradition, spoke to St. Francis. Lunch at restaurant. Continue onwards to Rome for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 - ROME (B / D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to meet the guide for the tour of Ancient Rome, the birthplace of Roman Civilisation. The archaeological area is one of the richest in the world: the Capitol, religious and political centre of the city, the Roman forums, the Arch of Constantine and the Colosseum are still visible today. Free time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

DAY 7 - VATICAN CITY (B / L / D)

After breakfast, visit the Vatican, the Vatican museum, which houses the Sistine Chapel and some of the most important collections of art in the world, and the Basilica of St. Peter, the largest basilica in the world. On Wednesday, due to the Papal Audience, the church of St. Peter will be visited only from outside. Lunch at restaurant. Visit The Abbey of the Three Fountains, Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and St John di Lateran Dinner and overnight in Rome.

DAY 8 - POMPEII > NAPLES (B / L / D)

Breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a guided tour of Pompeii. In 79 A.D., the town was destroyed by an extremely violent eruption of Vesuvius. The roads, monuments, homes and gardens and the inhabitants were buried and 'sealed' at the time of the eruption, laying underneath five or six metres of ash and dust for centuries. Lunch at restaurant. After lunch, drive to Naples for a guided tour. View Plebiscito Square with the Royal Palace, the Gambrinus Café, San Carlo theatre, and Castel dell'Ovo. The view from Posillipo will give you an unforgettable memory of this city. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

DAY 9 - ROME > DUBAI (B / Meals on Board)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer from hotel to Leonardo da Vinci airport for flight to Dubai at 1510. Arrive in Dubai at 2350.

DAY 10 - DUBAI > KUALA LUMPUR (Meals on Board)

Board EK 346 at 0330 for flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with many blessed memories of your trip to Italy.
